About Our Podcast
We launched Movie Oubliette in 2018 to share our love of discovering science fiction, horror and fantasy films that people might have missed. Sometimes we're going in blind, and other times one of us is sharing a childhood nostalgia favourite with our co-host.
We explore each film's place in movie history, its themes and characters, and elements of its production – everything from the special effects to the music – all while keeping the tone light. Their goal is to be informal, but informative.
Many amazing guests have joined the show – including filmmakers, actors and writers – some of whom have become friends of the show and make regular return visits to the oubliette!

Based in Melbourne, Australia, Dan is a sound designer, sound mixer, composer, podcaster and music producer. Having studied music composition and audio engineering, he is widely versed in both sound and music, and has worked on a variety of documentary film, animation, TV series and music projects.
Co-Host
Conrad Chambers
Based in Cambridge, UK, Conrad is a Head of Communications for a prestigious university by day, and an avid composer and podcaster by night. He studied film and literature, and is well versed in film criticism and textual analysis. He met Dan while they were both Featured Curators on the media platform HitRecord.
